Public Meeting for Chulio Road Improvements

A public meeting will be held for the Chulio Road improvement project on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Pleasant Valley South Baptist Church located at 702 Pleasant Valley Rd SE, Silver Creek, GA 30173. Public review and comments regarding preliminary right of way and construction plans are welcome.
This 2023 SPLOST project will allow widening of roadway, improving shoulders, adjust horizontal and vertical alignment, and make intersection improvements to Chulio Road from Boyd Valley Road to intersection with US Highway 411. The project is located in both City of Rome and unincorporated Floyd County. Residential areas including Woodfin Estates, Twickenham, and Hampton Preserve will benefit from this project.
