The Floyd County Board of Assessors (BOA) are a three-member board made up of Floyd County property owners, appointed by the Board of Commissioners.

The BOAs' major duties include:
- receiving property tax returns
- receiving and reviewing homestead exemption applications
- receiving and reviewing conservation use and forest land protection applications
- reviewing tax digest changes
- completing and approving yearly tax digest for submission to Georgia Department of Revenue.
Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 9:00 a.m in the 3rd floor Boardroom at the former Law Enforcement Center located at 5 Government Plaza. Caucus will be held the preceding Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. All meetings are open to the public and citizens are encouraged to attend.
