Status Updates

1.13.2026 - Preliminary layout and design submitted. New layout impacts Water department. Working on impacts to existing uses. Staff is working through logistics of new building location.

11.25.2025 - Additional topo and site engineering completed. Draft layout submitted and is currently under review.

10.21.2025 - Architect and plans are complete.

10.14.2025 - Additional topo and site engineering scheduled for October with work to be completed by end of the month.

8.12.2025 - Floyd County Board of Commissioners approved a request from Public Works to add survey and civil design work to the existing architecture contract with Alan Bell for the Public Works Operation and Maintenance Building in the amount of $34,300.00. No change to the budget needed at this time.

11.17.2023 - Architect and plans are complete. Site selection is underway, and a potential site has been identified. Finalization of site in 2024.
