Drug Court
The Floyd County Drug Court is a post-plea accountability court designed to provide non-violent, substance-involved offenders an alternative to incarceration through treatment, structure, and judicial oversight. Our mission is to decrease recidivism, promote long-term recovery from addiction, and strengthen the integrity, honesty, and citizenship of each participant. We envision a future where individuals are no longer defined by their past but empowered by their potential, where recovery, accountability, and community lead to lasting change.
Recognized in 2025 by the Georgia Council of Accountability Court Judges (CACJ) as a Model Court, the Floyd County Drug Court is committed to the highest standards of excellence, compassion, and public safety. Our team embraces core values of recovery, empowerment, accountability, change, hope, justice, and community. Through these guiding principles, we work to transform lives, restore families, and build a healthier, safer community where justice and healing intersect.
Participants engage in a minimum of eighteen (18) months of comprehensive services, including treatment, frequent drug testing, judicial supervision, education, employment support, and life-skills development. By fostering collaboration between the courts, treatment providers, and community partners, the program reduces recidivism, lowers costs, and promotes self-sufficiency. The Floyd County Drug Court stands as a proven model of how structure, compassion, and evidence-based practices can restore lives and create meaningful, long-term change.
