This project includes the construction of a new secure garage. This facility will consist of 5,000 square feet of secure parking, allowing for the secure storage of seized vehicles as part of ongoing investigations. The facility will also include a vehicle lift to allow for complete inspection and collection of evidence from all areas of a vehicle. The construction of the facility will be a steel building with a concrete floor. It will include space to park vehicles as well as space for evidentiary processing of vehicles.
Facility will be constructed on the developed property of the new Floyd County Police Department Headquarters located at 1 Police Plaza, Rome (formerly 75 Glenwood School Rd.).
