Floyd County Commissioners Recognize Long-Serving Employees for Dedicated Service
For July 31, 2025, Release:
The Floyd County Board of Commissioners recognized 18 dedicated county employees during a special ceremony on the morning of July 31, honoring their years of service to the community and to the mission of public service.
Commissioners Mike Burnes and David Thornton personally presented certificates and words of appreciation to employees marking milestones ranging from 10 to 35 years of service.

The ceremony highlighted not only the longevity of service but also the wide range of departments that keep the county running — law enforcement, courts, corrections, finance, public safety communications, facilities, and utilities.
