PUBLIC NOTICE: Consideration of Precinct Boundary Change

PUBLIC NOTICE: December 18, 2025

In accordance with O.C.G.A. § 21-2-262, the Floyd County Board of Elections and Voter Registration will hold a final public comment session regarding a proposed alteration to the Garden Lakes precinct boundary where a vote will also be held. The proposed change would relocate Melody Lane SW, Rome, GA 30165, from the Garden Lakes precinct into the Alto Park precinct. This adjustment is being considered to protect ballot secrecy.

The meeting will take place on January 20, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Floyd County Election office located at 18 East 12th Street, Rome.

Any person wishing to object to this change must submit their objection in writing to the Superintendent of Elections by January 20, 2026, by the close of business.
