FLOYD COUNTY COMMISSIONER ALLISON WATTERS
REAPPOINTED TO SERVE ON ACCG’S BOARD OF MANAGERS
(May 1, 2026) – Floyd County Commissioner Allison Watters was recently reappointed to serve as an at-large representative on the Board of Managers for the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG). The 2026-2027 ACCG Board of Managers was sworn in by Colquitt County Administrator and state Rep. Chas Cannon during the Installation and Awards Luncheon at the Association’s recent annual conference in Chatham County.
"We are excited to welcome our newly installed Board of Managers, a group of leaders, passionate about public service, chosen by their peers to guide the association," said Executive Director Dave Wills. "Their dedication and expertise will be essential as we collaborate to enhance the well-being of Georgia's counties, which have one purpose, to provide essential and desirable services to constituents.”
Watters has served on the county commission since 2017 and was first elected to serve as chair of the commission in 2023.
“I consider it an honor to serve on the ACCG Board of Managers. The organization works to ensure that all 159 counties in Georgia can provide the necessary leadership, services, and programs to meet the health, safety, and welfare needs of their citizens,” Watters said. “Floyd County government has benefited greatly from the many services provided by ACCG. I look forward to working alongside other county leaders to further the ACCG mission.”
