Sheltering Workshop

Floyd County Emergency Management in partnership with American Red Cross will be hosting a Sheltering Workshop on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at our Emergency Operations Center located at 407 East 12th Street, Rome. The class will include Disaster Cycle Services plus Shelter Fundamentals. We are extending this opportunity to our local civic volunteer groups, faith-based organizations, and leaders as an opportunity to grow. Many groups have questions about shelter operations and policy so this will be a great opportunity to come out and learn together.
